OK all,
Before the flaming DOES begin, I want to point out that our 1.34 under run at Denver factors back to a sea-level pass of only an 11.20, or 1.25 under. I might add that we went faster than that at a sea-level track in the Spring and although the air was good there, it wasn't GREAT.
So, if you're prepared to go fast at altitude, you can. But if you bring your sea-level stuff there, you won't. Don't let the big WAY UNDER numbers fool you. Factored back, they're from about normal to .10 too quick depending on the air quality, just like at any other track.
Congrats to all you new Record Holders, "altitude enhanced" as the flamers might say, or not. Nothing is stopping them from going to Denver. It's not like we all live on the hill as Ritch and Jim Weakland do. We travel 700 miles, Tyler must be 800, and Tom was at least 450. Or maybe it's as Julie Jordan suggested, the road only runs one way, East.
